What is the difference between the carbon cabin filter and the normal cabin filter?

The active carbon cabin filter has an additional layer of active carbon that absorbs dust and coarse suspended particles like the normal cabin filter, but with the difference that the efficiency of the active carbon cabin filter is much better than the normal cabin filter.

The active carbon cabin filter absorbs unpleasant smell and toxic fumes such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, both of which are extremely harmful to the health of the body. This additional layer of active carbon traps harmful gases up to 90% to prevent the creation of toxic substances such as colorless and flammable hydrocarbons, sulfur dioxide and unpleasant smell that enter the vehicle through the air conditioning system. Some of these filters have an antibacterial coating that prevents harmful bacteria from entering the car cabin.

The difference between the activated carbon cabin filter and the normal cabin filter:

1- Changing the active carbon filter more often than normal cabin filter
The activated carbon cabin filter is replaced once a year or approximately every 15,000 miles, while the regular cabin filter is replaced every 30,000 miles.

2- Better performance of the activated carbon cabin filter than the normal cabin filter
Due to the presence of an additional layer, in addition to trapping dust and large polluting particles, it prevents the entry of bacteria, toxic gases and unpleasant smells into the car cabin.

3- The higher price of the active carbon filter compared to the normal cabin filter
Considering the high price of the active carbon cabin filter compared to the normal one, it is more optimal considering driving conditions on dirt roads, non-asphalt, long trips and heavy traffic. By spending more money, bring health and breathing comfort to you and the passengers of the car.
