Volvo FH over time, a big evolution in the truck family

The Volvo FH is a family of trucks produced by the Swedish company Volvo Trucks. The first Volvo FH models were introduced to the market in 1993, which were called FH12 and FH16. The name FH stands for Forward Control High Entry, and the number after it shows the volume of the truck's engine in liters. This truck family is one of the most successful trucks on the market. This truck has different models in the heavy and super heavy class, which is one of the most popular and widely circulated trucks in the world, having repeatedly won the title of the world's strongest killer and truck of the year.

 

 

 

 

First generation Volvo FH :
The first generation Volvo FH was on the production line between 1993 and 1998. This truck won the truck of the year title in 1994. The 16-liter engine of the first generation FH was inherited from the previous generation of Volvo trucks. The first generation Volvo FH entered the Iranian market in 460 horsepower models.

 

 

Second generation Volvo FH :
This generation of FH tractor was released in the Iranian market in versions of 420, 440, 460 and 480 horsepower. The FH16 model was also released in two versions of 610 and 660 horsepower. The FH model is mostly used as a bogie and for transporting very heavy loads.

 

The third and fourth generation of Volvo FH :
In 2012, the third generation of Volvo FH was introduced. Volvo not only changed the appearance of the new FH model, but for the first time, a 13-liter engine was also added to the engines of this car. The new generation of FH was also imported to the country, most of its versions were 500 horsepower models. The D13C engine was the first new Volvo FH engine that was produced with 4 different output powers, and in the new generation, it was the powerful 16-liter D16K engine that was offered to the market with 550, 650, 750 horsepower. As you can see in the picture below, Volvo used a new and advanced chassis in the construction of the FH to bring maximum comfort and stability to the driver while driving.
